Dr. W. Patrick Zeller, MD
Dr. W. Patrick Zeller is a retired professor of Pediatrics and Physiology at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine since 1997. He is an author of over 200 publications. Dr. Zeller lectures extensively and has multiple funded studies that are still in progress.

Stephen D. Skjei, MD
Dr. Stephen Skjei attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis . He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Chicago . In between his residency and fellowship, he worked for two years as a hospitalist at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore , Maryland . He and his wife are happy to have returned to the Chicago area.

Daesman Suri, MD
Dr. Daesman Suri attended medical school, completed her residency in Internal Medicine, and her fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Chicago-Pritzger School of Medicine. She is the lead author on four peer-reviewed publications based on her patient oriented clinical research. Dr. Suri is particularly interested in treating the endocrine disorders that complicate pregnancy, diabetes mellitus, and abnormalities in the hypothalamic-pituitary axis. Dr. Suri is married and has a daughter. She believes that the experience of parenthood has given her a much better appreciation for the concerns of parents of children with endocrine diseases.

Carrie Zimmer, MD
Dr. Carrie Zimmer received her MD and PhD in neuroscience from the University of Michigan. She completed her pediatric residency and pediatric endocrinology fellowship at the University of Chicago. Dr. Zimmer has spent her life in the Midwest. Her interests include disorders of puberty, pituitary abnormalities and bone disorders.

Sheila Treftz, MSN, CNP
Sheila Treftz received her undergraduate nursing degree at Northern Illinois University in 1991. She went on to complete her Master's degree in nursing at the University of Illinois, Chicago in 2001. She has been with Academic Endocrinology since 2002 as a certified nurse practitioner. As a parent of two children, finds it rewarding to work with young children and adolescents with diabetes, thyroid and growth concerns.

Jeanne Ondyak, APN, FNP-BC,CDE
Jeanne Ondyak is a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse and Certified Diabetes Educator. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Illinois University and her Masters of Science in Nursing from theUniversity of Illinois at Chicago. She has been board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 1998 and brings over 20 years of professional nursing experience to her position. Jeanne joined AEMN in 2004 and enjoys working with patients of all ages. Her special interests include diabetes management, insulin pump therapy, thyroid and growth disorders. Jeanne is married and the mother of three sons.
